The Memorial stone became reality because we proposed at a reunion meeting to use Kilo 3/7 Vietnam member donations to sponsor a stone there.

Lloyd Wells and Jay Sutton attended the service where the stone was installed and dedicated.

Our stone sits under a permanent open shelter and installed with other Vietnam stones.

The location is The Highground in Neillsville Wisconsin.

I've visited most of the Vietnam memorials around the country and this place is near the top in all aspects.

There were many other stones being dedicated that day so the ceremony was well attended.

It's an honor that I was asked to say a few words about Kilo 3/7 and also to read all the names of Wisconsin KIAs who were lost in Iraq and Afghanistan, most of whose families were there that day.

I highly advise any of our group to visit the Highground if they have a chance to do so.
